DURAN DURAN
Along
with contemporaries Depeche Mode,
Duran Duran really helped bring synthpop to the greater listening
public. They're not exclusively synthpop – there's plenty
of rock and straightforward pop, as well as some occasional
(and wonderful) experimentation thrown in – but that's
what makes them the great band they are.
WHY
WE LOVE DURAN DURAN
They were
great when they first came out in the early '80s, and through
their many changes in style (and several changes in lineup)
over the years, they've remained on the cutting edge of pop/rock/electronic
music.
